You may hear Pablo Casals performing Antonín Dvorak's "Cello Concerto" with George Szell conducting the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in 1937 Here. 1926–1928: Casals, Jacques Thibaud and Alfred Cortot – the first trios of Schubert, Schumann and Mendelssohn, the Beethoven Archduke, Haydn's G major and Beethoven's Kakadu Variations (recorded in London). 1929, Brahms: Double Concerto with Thibaud and Cortot conducting Casals' own orchestra. 1929: Dvorak and Brahms Concerti. 1929: Beethoven: Fourth Symphony (Recorded in Barcelona)  . 70 No. 1, with Joseph Fuchs and Eugene Istomin. Schumann: Cello Concerto in A minor, Op. 129, with Eugene Ormandy conducting the Festival orchestra. 1954: At Prades (all live performances), including: Beethoven: Cello Sonata No. 5, and Op.

Kol Nidrei, for cello & orchestra, Op. 47. 5. Cello Concerto in B flat major (arranged by Friedrich Grützmacher): Allegro moderato. This recording of two never before recorded 20th century cello concertos is a welcome addition to my library. The most outstanding feature of this recording is the soloist Scott Ballantyne's cello playing. He has a golden sound and artistry that I have not heard since the great master, Leonard Rose. This performance has that transcending magic that truly beautiful music gives. It is very exciting to discover new classical music that gives such pleasure as this!

Cello Concerto in B minor, Op. 104, B. 191 by Antonín Dvořák. A recently re-discovered recording of a concert held in tribute to the people of Czechoslovakia days after the Soviet Union invaded. Filmed live at the Royal Albert Hall in September 1968. 1. Allegro 0:00 2. Adagio, ma non troppo 16:10 3. Finale 29:01. Concerto for Cello and Orchestra No. 2 in B minor, Op. 104 - Allegro. Dvorák/Elgar Cello Concertos. WMG (от лица компании "EMI Classics"); UMPG Publishing" и другие авторские общества (5).

Album · 2012 · 7 Songs. By Sir Edward Elgar & Sir Edward Elgar - Sir Adrian Boult, Pablo Casals & The BBC Symphony Orchestra. 2. Cello Concerto in E Minor, Op. 85: III. Adagio. 3. 85: IV. Allegro ma non troppo. 4. Double Concerto in A Minor, Op. 102: I. Allegro. Kol Nidrei, Op. By Max Bruch - London Symphony Orchestra, Pablo Casals & Sir London Ronald.

Cello, Primary Artist. Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. Production Coordination, Transfers. London Symphony Orchestra.

London Symphony Orchestra. 9. Luigi Boccherini Composer. Landon Ronald Conductor. Composer or Director: Ernö Dohnányi. I note that the Czech Philharmonic first horn of 1937 had a very similar tone indeed. Mackerras comes closer than anyone I can remember to Szell in the dramatic bite of the performance, which provides the most powerful preparation. Neumann is first rate too, but the more opaque, rather more distant recording detracts from his impact
