Celso Machado is an Afro-Brazilian composer, guitarist, lyricist and singer. The works he writes and performs are played by guitarists in both classical and world music genres. In 1985 the two guitarists recorded a vinyl album, Imagens do Nordeste. 12 France In the interview with William J. Zick, Celso was asked how many years he had stayed in France. He replied that he was in France for nearly 5 years, from 1984 to the beginning of 1990.

Celso Machado (born January 27, 1953) is a Brazilian world music guitarist, percussionist and t who lives in Gibsons, British Columbia, Canada. For over forty years he has performed on concert stages throughout Brazil, Western Europe and Canada, as well as in the United States. He is active as a teacher, composer and recording artist.
