Finchley Central is two and sixpence From Golders Green on the Northern Line And on the platform, by the kiosk That's where you said you'd be mine. There we made a date For hours I waited But I'm blowed, you never showed. At Finchley Central, ten long stations From Golders Green, change at Camden Town I thought I'd made you But I'm afraid you really let me down.

The Band is the second studio album by the Band, released on September 22, 1969. It is also known as The Brown Album. According to Rob Bowman's liner notes for the 2000 reissue, The Band has been viewed as a concept album, with the songs focusing on people, places and traditions associated with an older version of Americana.

From The Finchley Boys' private stash. Factory sealed LP with original blue sticker. Jacket shows minor cornering and creasing from 44 years in shrinkwrap. Although the original album has been bootlegged many times over the decades these pirated releases usually delivered poor sound quality. This, the first official, definitive, band-authorized CD/digital release for the Finchley's material was carefully restored from the original master tapes. Considerable time was then spent remastering the tracks to bring them up to modern day standards. Deluxe DCD package features a second disc of bonus tracks, entitled 'Neverending Tributes', which includes a recently rediscovered trove of recordings from 1968-1969.
