Neal Morse (born August 2, 1960) is an American singer, t, bandleader and progressive rock composer based in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1992, he formed the progressive rock band Spock's Beard with his brother Alan and released an album which was moderately successful. In 1999, he joined former Dream Theater co-founder Mike Portnoy, Flower Kings' Roine Stolt and Marillion's Pete Trewavas to form the super-group Transatlantic.

But since when has Neal Morse ever taken the easy route? He is remarkably like Michelangelo and da Vinci in that way. TGA takes Bunyan’s novel and re-interprets the story from the perspective of Christian’s angry, abandoned son, Joseph. But it is somewhat darker and more truculent, at least in the first part. And it stands alone, despite its ‘sequel’ status, and thematic recurrences. The album comprises 22 constituent tracks that segue into each-other to create a layered thematic presentation.
