Wu-Tang: Legendary Weapons includes a heavy dose of Ghostface Killah (he is featured on eight of the album's 11 songs) alongside The RZA and all of the other core Wu-Tang group members. Dark, raw tracks produced by The RZA together with members of the Brooklyn based band The Revelations provide a solid foundation for the crew's tales of violent New York street life and debauchery.
2011 was supposed to be a huge year for the Wu-Tang Clan; fans came into the year expecting sequels to both the remarkable Supreme Clientele and the illustrious Liquid Swords, only to have those plans postponed for Wu-Block and a yet untitled alternate GZA album. Method Man divulged plans for a new album, and Raekwon released Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang in March, announcing another 2011 album shortly thereafter. It’s now nearly August, nothing has yet come to fruition, and ardent fans continue to wait in the murk, desperate for a single word from any of the Clan announcing some good news
Released July 26, 2011. Legendary Weapons Tracklist. 1. Start The Show Lyrics. Note the lack of Clan on the cover of the latest Wu-Tang release. This 37-minute LP isn’t a proper follow-up to 2007’s 8 Diagrams. But neither is it one of those slapped-together collections of B-sides, remixes, and outtakes that mostly function as stress tests for the W’s quality control. With the exception of Masta Killa and GZA, every top-ranking Clansman delivers entirely new verses here. Combined with low commercial prospects, that level of commitment means Legendary Weapons is probably the closest thing we’ve got so far to a legit, hard-as-fuck Wu-Tang Clan street album
The Sting is a 2002 album by various artists affiliated with or part of the Wu-Tang Clan. Killa Beez" (RZA, U-God, Inspectah Deck, Suga Bang Bang, and Blue Raspberry). Out Think Me Now" (Solomon Childs). Bar Mitzvah" (Black Knights). Doe Rae Wu" (RZA and Ol' Dirty Bastard). Bluntz, Martinez, Girlz & Gunz" (Warcloud). Dancing With Wolves" (Killarmy and Prodigal Sunn). Spend Money" (Lord Superb and Intrigue). Take Up Space" (Lord Superb and Solomon Childs).
Album · 2011 · 15 Songs. In 2011, with the 20th anniversary of the release of Enter the Wu-Tang only a few years in the offing, few would have the temerity to question the extent of the Wu-Tang Clan’s artistic legacy. While Clan mainstays like Ghostface and Raekwon have both released critically and commercially successful solo albums in the past few years, feuds amongst Clan members have dimmed prospects for the timely release of a new Wu-Tang full-length
Wu-Tang Clan albums are always illustrious. They always require some preparation as if you know you are about to witness something epic within the headphones. The crew always seems to manage to make records that highlight each member’s eccentricities and skills. With Legendary Weapons, the Kung-Fu conglomerate revisits their consistency to compile thirteen gritty and brash songs. The weapon that is perhaps the most legendary on Legendary Weapons is Never Feel This Pain, featuring U-God and Inspectah Deck, who do not have the notoriety of Ghostface or Raekwon but still pack punches in their knuckle sandwich mic spitting. Brazen roughness is sprayed all over 225 Rounds, a cut that swarms with the honey the killer bees of the Wu-Tang Clan have always stung on the public.
