review: freddy's dead-the final nightmare soundtrack If you're a Goo Goo Doll fan AND a freddy fan, you'll like this soundtrack here as this has 3 early Goo Goo Doll songs. Because this movie came out in '91 when grunge music started to blow up, this soundtrack does have a grunge feel. The BEST songs on here (to me anyway) are "You Know What I Mean" by the Goo Goo Dolls, "Treat 'em Right" by Chubb Rock (remixed), and "Freddy's Dead-Why Was I Born" by Iggy Pop. The rest of the songs are forgettable. Progessive metal fans may like "Nothing Left To Say" by Fates Warning. and for the dance/hip-house fans out there, well, "Give Me a Beat" by the Young Lords sounds so...generic like imitation perfume. Me being a dance music fan, this is disappointing. All in all, this soundtrack here gets 2 stars. (scale 1-5 stars) Get it if only for collection purposes since this soundtrack might be rare soon if not now. ani raina
