Flamenco Guitar Solos, takes the traditional sounds of flamenco that include the footsteps of dancers and cries of the audience, and captures that spirit on a single instrument, the guitar. Played by Spanish guitar virtuoso Mario Escudero, this album presents several varieties of flamenco dances, most of which are found in the Andalusian region of Spain. Liner notes include a history of flamenco music as well as a detailed description of flamenco's ties to it's namesake, the flamingo.

Genius of the flamenco guitar ~ Thirteen pieces of Ramn Montoya transcribed by C. Nelson Genius of the flamenco guitar ~ Thirteen pieces of Ramn Montoya This is th. This is the fifth draft of transcriptions begun by me in 1968 of material originally recorded by Ramn Montoya in Paris in 1936 as released on the French Disques BAM LD5430. An exception to this, the malaguea, did not appear on that LP and was transcribed much later and somewhat less carefully from a different source with some reference to another transcription of this material, that of Alain Faucher, as published in his Arte Clsico Flamenco (AFFEDIS, Paris, 1994).

An album of discount flamenco from Carlos Montoya and a trio of other guitarists. The first half is taken up by pieces performed by the ageless Montoya and the second half performed by El Pili, Enrique Montoya, and El Nino de Alicante, along with a dancer adding the jaleos and castanets. Montoya performs excellently, as one would expect given his status in the history of flamenco.

Carlos Montoya is one of the few Spanish guitarists legends. I wished I had the privilege of seeing him in a concert. The great champion of modern flamenco guitar. First heard him as a boy and, never forgot the excitement and the passion. Ole! Hermosa!!! 4 years назад. I was trying to see/hear what he& playing at 03:15 to try myself when it struck me that he& using high tension strings.
