Johnnie Spence and the band are in top form, as usual. Hayes & Porter's "Soul Man" gets a decent Jonesing, and side two is certainly where the LP comes alive, featuring a near album-sided medley of hits and shake-downs. He has toured regularly, with appearances in Las Vegas (1967–2011), and has had several career comebacks, such as his high-profile coaching role on The Voice UK from 2012 (with the exception of 2016). Jones's powerful voice has been described as a "full-throated, robust baritone".
