L'Arpa Birmana (Harp Of EPA 30-264 Various Burma/Original Soundtrack) (7", EP, RP). Label Category Country Year RCA Italiana EPA 30-264 Italy 1956. A wonderful album with music that I can't seem to find anywhere else. I've looked everywhere, and this is honestly the only recording of the soundtrack for this lovely film that I can find. Not the best audio quality. Actually, it's pretty mid-range.

AKA spanish: El arpa birmana. AKA french: La harpe de Birmanie. AKA italian: L'arpa birmana. Tags: Japanese, Surrender, Soldier, Buddhist, Repatriation. Listen Biruma no tategoto (1956) Soundtrack. Biruma no tategoto was released in the year 1956, some songs of the official soundtrack are Kojo no Tsuki by Rentero Taki, One Sweetly Solemn Thought by Phillip Phillips.

This harp owned by Cardinal Maffeo Barbarini, the later Pope Urban VII still exists. It is an extraodinary instrument, not only from an optical but also from a musical point of view: the strings are arranged in three rows, which enables chromatic playing in all keys. This is the Arpa Barberini, which can be visited at the Museo Nazionale degli Strumenti Musicali in Rome today, a testament to musical performance at the court of the Barberini during the first half of the 17th century. On the present CD, this important instrument features in musical repertoire of the same place and time.

The last portion of the album (ten minutes) presents four short improvisations by . recorded between 1993 and 1996. Two tracks feature guest vocalist Phil Minton, another trumpeter Riccardo Pittau. They make a suitable conclusion but are no match for the organized craziness that took place earlier.
