Thebe Neruda Kgositsile (born February 24, 1994), known professionally as Earl Sweatshirt, is an American rapper, record producer and songwriter from Los Angeles, California. Kgositsile was originally known by the moniker Sly Tendencies when he started rapping, but soon changed his name when Tyler, the Creator invited him to join his alternative hip hop collective Odd Future in late 2009.

After three long years, Earl Sweatshirt recently released his third studio album, Some Rap Songs. Comprised of 15 tracks, the new project was teased recently by the enigmatic artist who has remained largely in the shadows since dropping I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside. Some Rap Songs sees Earl step out as a producer, handling most of the production on the soul-heavy album.
