In this set, we hear his band performing instrumentals, performances in which he has a trumpet solo, performances in which the band plays for other bocalists and songs he sang, sometimes with other vocalists. From what I can tell, the producers of "Vaughn Monroe Essential Gold" made the opposit choice; if it couldn't be cleaned up to eliminate background noise, it wasn't used. The stuff in brackets indicate the album(s) that each song appears on. "Gold" means the song is on "Vaughn Monroe Essential Gold", "Moon" indicates that the song is on this set and "Sing/Swing" is short for "There I Sing, Swing Again.
