A Day to Remember (often abbreviated ADTR) is an American rock band from Ocala, Florida, founded in the spring of 2003 by guitarist Tom Denney and drummer Bobby Scruggs. They are known for their unusual amalgamation of metalcore and pop punk. The band currently consists of vocalist Jeremy McKinnon, rhythm guitarist Neil Westfall, bassist Joshua Woodard, r Alex Shelnutt and lead guitarist Kevin Skaff.

Originally planned for release in late-October 2010, the album was delayed by a few weeks until mid-November. What Separates Me from You was released on November 15, 2010 in the UK, and on November 16 in the US. The album, which was recorded mainly at The Wade Studios in Ocala, Florida, from May to July 2010, was the first to feature guitarist Kevin Skaff

It's not as an effective album finisher as If It Means a Lot to You, but it's really crisp. The song is about him realizing what it means to let go of this certain someone and realizing that they'll both regret it even though it may hurt. It ends with the clean intro followd by screams and a held out chord with some computer effects in the back. It makes for an optimistic ending. Lyrics - 9 Overall, I saw the lyrics as pretty intricate, more so than previous albums. Jeremy McKinnon conveys more than one thought/emotion in each of the songs, which is pretty cool.

The sugary pop-punk earworms "It's Complicated" and "Better Off This Way" (the latter of which boasts a full-on "whoa-oh-oh" sing-along) are mid-'00s emo classics, while "Out of Time" turns its punky sneer into a cheerleader-worthy chant. Even the cathartic screamo of "You Be Tails, I'll Be Sonic" bears a gorgeous, melodic sheen

With WSMFY, A Day To Remember has done it again, making pop punk songs and still managing to make heavy metalcore songs in the process. This 10 track roller coaster will take you through songs like "Sticks and Bricks" with the ADTR sound, screaming, melodic choruses and breakdown.
