Reel-to-reel tape loops recording the silence of a room, found objects, and crude electronic circuitry left on its own provide the basic materials for these compositions. Pieces like "Ambidextrous and Half Japanese" and "Ineinandergreifen" are filled with a sense of purpose. They evolve and they take listeners somewhere, even though describing the destination can be hazardous and, to a point, meaningless.
