Lazy" is a song by Deep Purple from their 1972 album Machine Head. A live performance of the song can be found on the album Made in Japan, released later the same year. The song starts out as an instrumental, keyboardist Jon Lord plays an overdriven Hammond organ intro, followed by the main riff and with the solo swapping between him and guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. Vocalist Ian Gillan comes in with the vocals later in the song. He also uses harmonica both on the studio version and live

Produced by Deep Purple. You're lazy, you just stay in bed You're lazy just stay in bed You don't want no money, you don't want no bread If you're drowning, you don't clutch no straw If you're drowning, you don't clutch no straw You don't want to live, don't want to cry no more. Well, my crying ain't done no good I said, my trying ain't done no good You don't make no effort, no, not like you should

I've looked at the other tabs on this song and they are barely legible. Difficult to follow, or understand. One tab even has you playing 2 steps higher than what was recorded. I've tried to write this in small increments to make it more easily read and understood. Song: Lazy Artist: Deep Purple Album: Machine Head.

Talk about Deep Purple - Lazy

Umge
Severely edited version of the 7+ minute album track, cutting this epic DP track down to 2 1/2 minutes. Still listenable, but just barely. I've never heard this edited version on the radio in my entire life. I do remember the days when the albums version was played on a regular basis though.
