At Last" (1972) by the Mick Abrahams Band, is the second album that Mick Abrahams did after leaving Blodwyn Pig, and the last he would release until his wonderful solo album "All Said And Done" (1991). Mick Abrahams was a founding member of Jethro Tull, but differences between himself and Ian Anderson resulted in his leaving after their first album "This Was" (1968). From there he founded the group Blodwyn Pig, but left after two albums: "Ahead Rings Out" (1969) and "Getting To This" (1970).

Michael Timothy Abrahams (born 7 April 1943) is a guitarist and band leader, best known as being the original guitarist for Jethro Tull. Abrahams was born in Luton, Bedfordshire. He played on the album This Was recorded by Jethro Tull in 1968, but conflicts between Abrahams and Ian Anderson over the musical direction of the band led Abrahams to leave once the album was finished.

Adding somewhat to the confusion is that the next album which Mick recorded, "At Last", was as part of a group called The Mick Abrahams Band which included almost the exact same group of musicians as appear on this one. While the two album names and the two artist names may make it difficult to find the CD, or create confusion when talking about it, they really amount to nothing when one hears the album and quickly finds that it is up there with the quality of Mick's Jethro Tull and Blodwyn Pig work. There are just seven tracks on this album, and they are all worth a listen.

This Was is the debut studio album by the British progressive rock band Jethro Tull, released in 1968. Recorded at a cost of £1200, it is the only Jethro Tull album with guitarist Mick Abrahams, who was a major influence for the sound and music style of the band's first songs. When the album was released the band was already performing at the Marquee Club in London, where other successful British groups, such as the Rolling Stones and The Who, had started their careers.
