Twang Twang Shock-a-Boom is an acoustic three-piece band led by Davíd Garza. The name is derived from the sounds of the guitar, bass, and drums. Twang Twang Shock-a-Boom was described by the Austin Chronicle as one of the most breathtaking musical projects Austin has ever seen. For 10 months, the trio of Davíd Garza, Jeff Haley, and Chris Searles played humorous tunes with the bare-bones setup of guitar, upright bass, and a guitar case standing in for drums.

Twang is the twenty-sixth studio album by American country music artist George Strait. It was released on August 11, 2009, via MCA Nashville, the same label to which Strait has been signed since 1981. It is produced by Tony Brown. The lead-off single "Living for the Night", which Strait wrote with his son Bubba and songwriter Dean Dillon, was released in May 2009

Jackson Wang (traditional Chinese: 王嘉爾, Korean: 왕잭슨; born 28 March 1994) is a Hong Kong rapper, singer and dancer based in South Korea. He is a member of the South Korean boy group Got7 under JYP Entertainment, and is known for his appearances on Korean reality television, notably Roommate. He is also active in China as a solo artist and TV host. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Wang was a sabre fencer for Hong Kong's fencing team.

You may remember Davíd Garza, not as a 2010 inductee to the Music Hall of Fame in Austin, USA, but as an 18-year-old on the University of Texas West Mall improvising acoustic songs about "Amnesty" and "Sunflowers" with classmates Jeff Haley on bull fiddle and Chris Searles on bongos. In 1989 Twang Twang Shock-A-Boom's exuberant devotees immediately snapped up all 6,000 copies of their self-released debut, Me So Twangy.

Twang Twang Shock-A-Boom: If ever a local band name perked interest, it’s that one. Drummer Chris Searles explains. I came up with the name as musical onomatopoeia during a particularly boring class at UT, and David Garza loved it right away. The other option was ‘Emily Dickinson. Twang Twang began as an acoustic trio, headlining Liberty Lunch and the Texas Tavern, while drawing 500 to 1,500 people per show. Each album will contain two originals and three covers by Austin songwriters we love and feel are under appreciated. Searles has been behind the drum kit since doing time at Austin High School. He played competitions and made All State tympanist and jazz drummer. Twang Twang bassist Jeff Haley went to Reagan High, and frontman David Garza hails from Irving.

If college music provides an indication of the future, twang tunes, a new rage at the University of Texas, may catch on. ''Our music is hard to put in a category,'' said David Garza of Irving, who sings and strums acoustic guitar for the Twang Twang Shock-a-Boom band. 'We improvise like jazz musicians, but we play original pop songs with acoustic instruments. We're just not a typical-sounding college band  .
