Duane Eddy (born April 26, 1938) is an American guitarist. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, he had a string of hit records produced by Lee Hazlewood which were noted for their characteristically "twangy" sound, including "Rebel Rouser", "Peter Gunn", and "Because They're Young". He had sold 12 million records by 1963. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, and the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2008.

One Way reissued two of Duane Eddy's RCA albums, Twangin' the Golden Hits and Twang a Country Song, on one CD in 1998. Well, it contains one great hit - "Rebel Rouser" - in a re-recorded version. That's not the case with Twang A Country Song. Lee Hazelwood acted as the musical supervisor on the 12-track album, and he gave Eddy a great, lush Nashville sound production and selected a terrific set of songs, featuring such staples as "Sugar Foot Rag," "Please Help Me I'm Falling," "Crazy Arms," "The Window Up Above," "A Satisified Mind" and "Peace in the Valley.
