ZZ TOP has completely vindicated them selves from the 1987 "Six Pack"studio tinkering disaster. These are some of the cleanest 180 gram vinyl pressings I've heard. Album package is awesome with plastic sleeves along with art work insertions replicating original sleeves. 7 people found this helpful. Before they had long beards and became synonymous with MTV music videos,ZZ Top we're the best 3 piece Rocking Blues Band in the world in the 1970s when they put out these 5 outstanding albums, true,there's no booklet which would have been nice but the albums have been fully restored to pretty much exactly to form of my.
ZZ TOP’s third album, Tres Hombres was the band’s commercial breakthrough. Released in the summer of 1973, it was the trio’s first Top 10 record and earned gold status thanks to hit ‘La Grange’. Released in 1975, Fandango! was the band’s second consecutive gold album and featured its first Top 40 single ‘Tush’. The album is a combination of the live tracks that comprise Side1, recorded at The Warehouse in New Orleans, and studio recordings on Side 2. The final album included in CINCO is Tejas, which became ZZ TOP’s third gold album when it was released in 1976
Every album was pressed from the original London masters - for a while, this was a rarity in ZZ Top's world; the 1987 set Six Pack covered the same territory, but they were remixed with added effects - on 180-gram vinyl, all housed in replicas of the original packaging.
