Mirror Reaper is the third studio album by Seattle-based doom metal band Bell Witch. It was released as a double album on October 20, 2017 through Profound Lore Records and was met with critical acclaim. This is the group's first release since the death of its drummer, Adrian Guerra, and it acts as a tribute to him. Shortly before Mirror Reaper's recording began, drummer and cofounder Adrian Guerra left the band due to health concerns and was replaced by Jesse Shreibman on drums.

Mirror Reaper very nearly reaches the heights/depths of Four Phantoms. One of the most exceptional qualities of Bell Witch is, despite the many aching ways they find to describe death’s sting, the band does not appear to intend to drag listeners down to the grave. That is a significant distinction, as a number of critically and commercially successful heavy metal bands are currently pushing deeper into Nihilism and Satanism. Exclaim! Mirror Reaper is certainly an outstanding accomplishment in the Bell Witch catalogue. It may be their most emotionally stirring and musically ambitious record to date.

Bell Witch, for the uninitiated, are one of underground metal’s most exciting bands. Not the video game, mind you, but funeral doom. Massive, haunting, soul-sucking funeral doom. Mirror Reaper, the band’s third full-length, sees them at their most morose. The overall mood on this album is that of grief and loss. Just as these feelings come in intense, painful waves, so too does Mirror Reaper barrage you with waves of abrasive, harsh riffs. Even when the album allows its listeners to regain their breath with a minimalist bass solo, there’s a sense of longing that never quite lets you go. The reason for this is simple: Mirror Reaper is the sound of losing a friend.
