Scorch Trio ‎– Luggumt. Label: Rune Grammofon ‎– RCD 2040. Now, I know so little about this sort of thing, but my view is that it's quite fierce and intense - many plectrums were injured in the making of this album. As ever with Rune, the presentation is beautiful and, no matter what you're into, it's always worth checking out. Reply Notify me Helpful.

Not bad album, even good enough for band's fans, but far not the best entry for newcomers and could be seriously boring for listener without serious interest to minimalistic sharp rock improvs.

This the second release from the trio of Raoul Björkenheim, Ingebrigt Håker Flaten and Paal Nilssen-Love (the first came out billed to their individual names and was titled Scorch Trio). Luggumt was recorded two years later (January 2004) at the same studio, with the same engineer. Understandably, it sounds pretty close to the first one, although the music is not as scorching this time; there is more room to breathe, and a higher percentage of quiet(ish) passages, including the delicate drums/bass duet "Snaekje Rojnd Naevinj.

Scorch Trio: Luggumt by John Kelman, published on November 19, 2004. One listen to "Kjale Hole" on Scorch Trio's sophomore effort, Luggumt, and you quickly realize that this may be one of the most aptly-named groups on the scene today. Blistering in its intensity, the trio combines the searing energy of a rock power trio with the broadest freedom and exploration that jazz has to offer. Kind of like Jimi Hendrix meets Albert Ayler, but with a more elastic Scandinavian time sense

Trio is the first studio album from the Northern German band of the same name. It was released on October 27, 1981, by Mercury Records. It included a bonus single and has a handle attached to the cover.
