The Killjoys are an Australian pop, folk band formed in 1987. The mainstay members were Anna Burley on lead vocals and guitar and Craig Pilkington on lead guitar and vocals. They attracted a wide following in the vibrant pub scene. Their debut album, Ruby (October 1990), won Best Independent Release at the ARIA Music Awards of 1991

The Killjoys up until 2001 were still a performing entity with the two core members Anna Burley and Craig Pilkington. The Killjoys' first full-length album, Ruby, won the ARIA Award in 1991 for Best Independent Release. Sun Bright Deep was later nominated for the same award in 1998. In 2006 the band released the album Stealing Horses, the group's fifth full-length album and first in seven years. The band released another album entitled Pearl in 2011, five years after their previous release.

The Killjoys were formed in 1987 in Melbourne by Anna Burley on lead vocals and guitar (ex-Wild Science), Jeremy Craigie-Smith on bass guitar; Will Larsen on drums (ex-Michael Angelo and the Ceiling); Craig Pilkington on lead guitar, trumpet and vocals (ex-Wild Science) and Caroline Schwerkolt on vibraphone and keyboards. In mid-February 1989 the group issued a five-track extended play, Audrey, as a mini-album and as a music cassette on their own label, Audrey – it was co-produced by the band with Peter Jackson.

Danger Days, My Chemical Romance's fourth studio album, to me, is the best album released in 2010. Four years after their last success, The Black Parade, this album experiments even more than their previous work. This record shows how MCR have grown over the last four years, and also since their debut album released in 2002. Danger Days is generally lighter and happier than their previous work, as they stay more away from the topics of depression and death. They touch on it slightly, but like their other work, use metaphors to disguise it and make it more poetic. Overall, this album totally lifts your mood if you listen to it right the way through. There are fast rock songs and slower, beautiful ballads, and all are recognisable as being from My Chemical Romance, despite the synths.

That bad attitude suits this synth-laced album, which plays like a love letter to all the juvie-hall grads and Ritalin rats still waiting for someone to build a bomb big enough to blow all the pop bands off the airwaves. Somewhere between the metal- messiah riffs of Destroya and the Red Bull-fueled stomp of Bulletproof Heart, Danger Days offers a total rejection of bloated celebrity rock

The Killjoys was a band formed in Melbourne Australia in the late 1980s The core of the band was Anna Burley vocals and Craig Pilkington guitar and voca. It is considered somewhat of a sequel to the band's iconic Ruby album, which was remastered and re-released alongside Pearl. Audrey (12" mini-album, 1989).
