Ian Anderson told Songfacts: "It was actually late '72 or early '73 when I was in Paris recording an album that never got released, although one or two of the tracks made it out in 1974, but that was at a time when I was writing an album that was exploring people, the human condition, through analogies with the animal kingdom.

California is the third and final studio album by American experimental rock band Mr. Bungle. It was released on July 13, 1999, through Warner Bros

To say that Mr. Bungle is unfocused is like criticizing a rapper for not being able to sing - it may be true, but it misses the point of the music. Mr. Bungle is a dizzying, disconcerting, schizophrenic tour through just about any rock style the group can think of, hopping from genre to genre without any apparent rhyme or reason, and sometimes doing so several times in the same song.

Essential Albums: 6. Bungle California (1999) Mr. Bungle were masters at creating some of the most experimental sounding music, and never fit nicely into any genre, but they always used that as an advantage - they never sounded like another artist. On songs like opening track "Sweet Charity" or "None of Them Knew They Were Robots," the band test out spaghetti western elements and combine them with the strange.

Bungle was formed in 1985 in Eureka, California  . We celebrate the two-decade mark for Mr. Bungle's final full-length: It made the complex seem effortless, in contrast to their earlier work which make the difficult sound laborious, and it transports you to a world where the impossible manifests.

Bungle’s self titled studio debut is an album that combines elements of jazz and metal with hints of ska. They also take largely from the atmosphere of a circus, using brass and organs in their songs. The album features two songs previously on their tapes before getting licensed with Warner Brothers, being Carousel and Egg. Bungle was able to get a record label with Warner Brothers due to one factor, and that was Mike Patton’s inclusion in Faith No More.

The Bungle Bungle range with its distinctive striped beehive domes is most definitely one of the most spectacular and memorable places I have seen in my life. I can't think of anything that even remotely compares to the experience of a walk along Piccaninny Creek. At the start of the walk into Piccaninny Creek. I am planning on visiting Purnululu National Park and was wondering just how difficult Spring Creek track is for someone who has done limited 4WD driving. Visiting Bungle Bungle with a caravan OK, I know that caravans are not allowed in the park, but where is the closest point at which you can (with reasonable security) leave a van so that you.
