Descend into the Absurd. According to some opinions this is the greatest death metal album that came from the German DM scene in the early 90's. Well, I am not sure whether I would pick up "Descend into the Absurd" and give it this title, coz’ the choice is difficult. There are also some other killer bands and classics albums deserving it as much as Fleshcrawl.

The production on Descend Into the Absurd is top notch; albums don't sound much better than this. The rhythm section of this band is stellar, and the drumming and bass really move these songs along. The guitar licks are some of the best doom licks I have heard. The vocals aren't anything new, but Alex Pretzer does an outstanding job. Fleshcrawl would end up changing their sound a bit in future releases. This album is different from later releases, in that Fleshcrawl would go on to perfect chainsaw guitar tone and play music quite similar to Swedish death metal.

Hi. Someone knows why this cult debut album wasnt repressed yet officially on vinyl records?I am looking for it for ages and i am sure that all death metal fans listening to death metal era 1990-1995 would be very thankfull to have to on vinyl!

Sound is ok (taken from the CD) but the layout is horrible, totally blurred, a really bad scan from the CD
