The Kentucky Headhunters discography. The Kentucky Headhunters are an American country rock & southern rock band founded in 1968 as Itchy Brother. The band's discography comprises nine studio albums, six compilation albums, two video compilations and twenty-seven singles.

The Kentucky HeadHunters aren't a remarkable country mutation, just a top-notch Southern rock band with a sense of humor. The Ballad of Davy Crockett" is the kind of clever novelty that won't work twice; "Big Mexican Dinner" is a novelty that doesn't even work the first time. Once again, the country and bluegrass covers - "Only Daddy That'll Walk the Line," "With Body and Soul" - are the highlights, and most of the originals (the Beatlesque shuffle "Always Makin' Love" aside) are offbeat, adequate filler.
