Wow, Keith Brion has done it again, this time with the Royal Swedish Navy Band. The entire "Sousa: Music for Wind Band" recordings are, as far as I'm concerned, the very finest recordings of Sousa's music. We know that when Sousa directed his band, he never played his music exactly as written, but played i. .He would include crescendos and diminuendos and omit certain instruments the first time through the trio. And that's what Mr. Brion does on all of these recordings  . It's a very interesting piece from 1930 with definite jazz influence. If you're a Sousa buff, purchase the album just for this one piece. My only hope is that Mr. Brion is able to complete his task of recording every one of Sousa's music for band.
