Amandla is an album by jazz musician Miles Davis, released in 1989. It is the third collaboration between Miles Davis and producer/bassist Marcus Miller, after Tutu (1986) and Music from Siesta (1987), and their final album together. The album mixes elements of the genres go-go, zouk, funk and jazz, combining electronic instruments with live musicians. The composition "Mr. Pastorius", featuring drummer Al Foster, is a tribute to late jazz bassist Jaco Pastorius.

Amanda is the debut studio album by Brazilian jazz artist Eliane Elias. The record was released in 1985 via the Passport Jazz label. It is a collaboration album recorded with her then husband Randy Brecker. The album is dedicated to their daughter, Amanda Elias Brecker. Shortly thereafter her solo career began, resulting in over twenty albums to date.

Amandla is an album by jazz musician Miles Davis, released in 1989. Catémbe" is a Mozambican and Angolan cocktail of red wine and cola.

Amandla, Awethu, which literally means the power is ours, was an ubiquitous chant echoing throughout the politically charged atmosphere of the time – a call to unite, and a call from which this release derives not only its title, but its intention as well. Music was a crucial way of bringing people and communities together, reflects Esa, and it’s what I hope to achieve with this compilation, too. For Esa Williams is not only a musical polymath but also passionate about connecting people through music. This summer, Soundway Records will release Esa Presents Amandla: Music To The People, a double vinyl electronic music compilation by DJ and producer Esa Williams. The album is dedicated to their daughter, Amanda Elias Brecker Contents.
