Evil: The Gestalt of Abomination" of 1993 already had that kind of deeper grim and melancholy atmosphere, but his kind of riffs are still like those of his first demos, Icould say that this demo is the mix between old era and new era. You are correct here, I guess most people just like me forget that the material was actually recorded in 1993 before it got released years later as "Remains. from 1993 already announces the darker and more sinister side of MUTIILATION music  . The youtube version seems to run at the correct speed, but just sounds like the album versions of the songs. The boot I got sounds like somebody slowed the songs down to make them sound different. I like the song Skoger av onde drom, but it sounds completely different here.

Mütiilation may not always have been the most respectable and serious black metal project; I refuse to believe that there’s not some dark humour at work from looking at the cover art for Black Millenium (Grimly Reborn) or Majestas Leprosus. Yet the earlier work is genuinely eerie and disturbing, the darkness at its most tangible here even on the added, later tracks, which ironically are even rawer.
