Overall, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, is a decent release from Glassjaw, and while it is not phenomenal like EYWTKAS, or W&T it gives you a better respect for the musicianship and hard work that Glassjaw put on their later releases. This EP will probably not be accepted by a listener just getting into Glassjaw, this seems as though only the fans of their old material will enjoy this. 3, 5. Recommended Tracks: Black Coffee Star Above My Bed Vermont Connection. PROs Great vocals Decent song structures. CONs Not near as technical as later releases The musicianship isn’t as strong.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" is Glassjaw definitely at a different stage of being a band. Compared to EYEWTKAS or WAT, this EP doesn't sound a whole lot like Glassjaw now. You can definitely hear the influence of NYHC on the band, and a lot more alternative influence, compared to the emo and punk influence that's now abundant in their music. Daryl's lyrics are much more abstract and poetic on this disk (they came from a Poetry Book he wrote in 1997 entitled "Blood Red Lipstick", good luck finding one of those).

Star Above My Bed. Pink Roses And The Graveyard. Vermont Connection/The Chapter 7 Test Or The Ephesians Were Right After All. Hidden Poem (hidden track). MusicBrainz: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
