Slip It In is the fourth studio album by the American hardcore punk band Black Flag, released in 1984 on SST Records. Slip It In is an extension of the sound Black Flag utilized on its second album My War: heavy, cathartic, intense, dense and progressive. At this point, Black Flag was considered by many to be one of the leading bands of the American punk scene. The album pursued the newer, lengthier song arrangements that Black Flag would develop until its demise.

Family Man is the third full-length studio album by the American hardcore punk band Black Flag. Released in 1984 through SST Records, it features spoken word tracks by the vocalist Henry Rollins and jazz-indebted instrumental tracks. Armageddon Man" is the only track on the album in which Rollins and the instruments are together.

Black Flag had already created the platonic ideal of hardcore with their first three albums, but with Slip It In they proved that no labels could contain them. The title track and "Black Coffee" really get the mosh pit going, with guitarist and chief songwriter Greg Ginn adding new elements of sludge metal and jazz into the high-speed maelstrom. My Ghetto" attacks from unexpected angles, while the instrumental "Obliteration" slows things way down, letting Ginn’s sinister riffs crawl all over his victims. Slip It In Black Flag.

The album essentially is a perfect image of everything that was building in Black Flag. Henry Rollins was starting to take a more prominent role as a lyricist and singer, Greg Ginn’s guitar playing took a turn for the more avant-garde and jazzy side of metal, The sludginess of My War was combined with the furiousity of Damaged and the oddity of Family Man, and the lyrics just kept on getting more serious and self-loathing  . It is definitely essential listening for those who are fans of the band and even for those who simply like sludgy and bone-crushing hardcore.
