The Adversary is the first full-length album by Australian deathcore band Thy Art Is Murder. The album was released on July 16, 2010 through Skull and Bone Records. It is the first release to feature vocalist Chris "CJ" McMahon and last release to feature guitarist Gary Markowski and bassist Mick Low. Guitarist Sean Delander replaced Mick Low on bass and Andy Marsh and Tom Brown joined as the new guitarists on the album Hate. Chris "CJ" Mcmahon – vocals. Sean Delander – rhythm guitar.

Glenndonia is not a Xerox by any means, but these guys have a certain way of assembling their active basslines, dynamic guitar lines and rhetorically thick vocals that makes me remember San Pedro's finest. It's political punk far better than most of the stuff that crosses my desk. Founded in 2002, The Adversary Workers have been performing since early 2003. We were brought together by our common influences, including Fugazi, Nation of Ulysses, Gang of Four, The Birthday Party, The Minutemen, and many more. We have 2 releases, with the 3rd coming in a couple of months, and have toured the midwest and east coast.

The Adversary is the debut solo album by Emperor frontman Ihsahn. Released on 10 April 2006, it is the first in a conceptual trilogy of albums including angL and After. It features a guest vocal appearance by Ulver's Garm. The album has been noted for its stylistic diversity, encompassing extreme metal as well as progressive and classic metal influences. The album combines various extreme metal genres with progressive and classic metal in the vein of Judas Priest

The Adversary has a lot to offer from a black metal standpoint, and yet, this is hardly a disc that caters to black metal purists. The black metal that Ihsahn embraces as a solo artist is symphonic black metal - that is, a very melodic, intricate combination of black metal, power metal, and/or progressive rock. In fact, The Adversary gets so far into power metal and prog metal that some of the material really falls outside of black metal altogether; there are a few parts of The Adversary that wouldn't be out of place on an album by Rhapsody or Dream Theater.
