referencing Who's Rare 1964-1968, LP, Comp, Unofficial, V 6468. this was the first version of this great who compilation of some of the more obscure who tracks recorded between 1964 ans 1968, this was pressed in italy back in 07 and has been oop for a long time, the demand was high so this compilation lp was reissued with a nicer sleeve in 2013, anyway the tracks are the same, great collection.

The Who performed extensively in 1964, supporting their first-ever single "Zoot Suit/I'm the Face" and their late-1964 single "I Can't Explain".

Most of the material has been released officially, but the few unreleased tracks still make this release worthwhile.

The Who’s time in New York City in 1968 can best be described as ‘lively’. Keith Moon’s antics with cherry bomb explosives had meant that the band had to move hotels. On the morning of the Fillmore rehearsal, the band were photographed for Life magazine by Art Kane and legend has it that they were so tired from Moon’s antics that they nodded off under the large Union Jack draped over them at the base of the Carl Schurz Monument in Morningside Park

The album includes a previously unreleased cover of Eddie Cochran’s C’Mon Everybody and a rare version of Fortune Teller, which was penned by the New Orleans legend Allen Toussaint.
