The recording includes traditional and contemporary choral music from Ireland and Scotland and features arrangements and new compositions by some of Ireland’s most celebrated composers for choirs. Mo Ghile Mear" was written by Seán Clárach Mac Domhnaill in the 18th century and was composed in the convention of Aisling poetry, meaning a dramatic description or representation of a vision.

My name is Desmond Earley and I'm director of UCD Choral Scholars, which is known internationally as the Choral Scholars of University College Dublin. I'm also a harpsichordist and arranger and a composer and I work with different ensembles around Europe, playing music and directing. Desmond Earley and the UCD Choral Scholars have every right to be proud.
