Liberation Music Orchestra is a band and jazz album by Charlie Haden released in 1970, Haden's first as leader.

I could hear stuff and that's when I really learned some much farther-out voicings – like the harmonies I used on Speak Like a Child – just being able to do that. I really got that from Clare Fischer's arrangements for the Hi-Lo's. he and Bill Evans, and Ravel and Gil Evans, finally. You know, that's where it came from. Hancock also released a solo acoustic piano album, The Piano (1979), which was released only in Japan. It was released in the US in 2004. Other Japan-only albums include Dedication (1974), . s Tempest in the Colosseum (1977), and Direct Step (1978). VSOP: Live Under the Sky was a VSOP album remastered for the US in 2004 and included a second concert from the tour in July 1979.

A young Herbie Hancock contributed the bulk of the score to Michelangelo Antonioni's 1966 screen classic, evoking the ambience of swinging London with grooves that create effective bluesy moods on the slow pieces, and funky ones on the up-tempo tracks. Rock fans remember the film and the soundtrack for the inclusion of a rare Yardbirds number, "Stroll On" (actually, an adaptation of "The Train Kept A-Rollin'"), one of only three songs they recorded with both Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page on guitars.

Directions in Music: Live at Massey Hall is a live recording by Herbie Hancock, Roy Hargrove and Michael Brecker. It was Hancock's forty-fourth album. It won the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Individual or Group in 2003. The track "My Ship" won the Grammy for Best Jazz Instrumental Solo that same year. The Sorcerer" (Herbie Hancock) – 8:53. The Poet" (Roy Hargrove) – 6:35.

Jerry Wexler (Music Supervision). Herbie Hancock (Music, Composer). It didn’t sound like this then, but that’s the beauty of Shorter’s best work: it can be revisioned a hundred times over in so many different ways yet is unmistakably his. The other vocal performances here are basically stellar. Rae’s version of the title cut offers a completely different dimension of her voice.

Studio Album, released in 1966. Songs, Tracks Listing. First of all, recorded and released in 1966, this album contains rare Hancock's electric music, which contains elements of jazz and rock both. For sure, this music is soundtrack first of all, so you have the collection of 13 short compositions, not the usual jazz or jazz rock album.
