Kicking off in November, the Dead Letter Circus Album Tour will see the band bring their fierce live set to stages across Bunbury, Margaret River and Perth, through to Adelaide and Canberra and the east coast – with regional shows in between. These dates will be the first run of shows since the band’s small intimate club run back in June. We’re so psyched to finally give this album over to the people says frontman Kim Benzie. The Armour You Own’ is the first new piece of original music from Dead Letter Circus since 2015’s Aesthesis. It also sees a welcomed return to their amplifiers after 2017’s The Endless Mile – a stripped and acoustic reimagination of songs from the Brisbane five-piece’s career. The single is lead by crunching guitar riffs, driving rhythms and showcases frontman Kim Benzie’s soaring signature vocals over huge hooks.
Redirected from Aesthesis (album)). Dead Letter Circus are an alternative rock band from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Their 2010 debut album This Is the Warning debuted at No. 2 on the Australian album charts and spawned a number of singles that were played heavily on radio, and was later certified Gold and voted by listeners into Triple J's Hottest 100 Albums of All Time, at number 86. The band's third studio album, Aesthesis, was released on August 14, 2015.
1. In Plain Sight Lyrics. 2. While You Wait Lyrics. 3. The Burning Number Lyrics.
It’s overwhelmingly clear that Dead Letter Circus’ heyday has long passed with this album. The engaging energy and passion of This is the Warning is long gone, only to be replaced by your run of the mill atmospheric rock album. Though the downward spiral officially began with The Catalyst Fire, even that album had gems that distinguished themselves among the vibe. However, with Aesthesis, the listener will simply find literally nothing worthwhile amongst Dead Letter Circus’ third outing. One of the major flaws of Aesthesis lays in Kim Benzie’s vocals. His singing isn’t nearly interesting enough to justify the amount of time he spends spouting out average lyrics. After a while, the overemphasis on catchy melodies can grow tiresome and mundane.

Only 2 left in stock (more on the way). The Catalyst Fire is such an incredible album so I was either expecting a complete dud or some kind of miracle with this album. What I got was completely different. If this was a different band, I would say that this is a great album. For DLC, I would say it is a solid effort worthy of praise but falls a bit short to their last release. The first single (While you Wait) that was releaesd before the album came out left me scratching my head as it just sounded way different from what I was used to.
