Nashville songwriter Andrew Dorff penned some huge country hits, including Blake Shelton's "Neon Light" and Kenny Chesney's "Save It For A Rainy Da.  . It is with immeasurable grief that we learn of the passing of our friend Andrew Dorff. Our songwriting community is small and close and this loss will hurt us all deeply," the organization said in a statement. Andrew was a good man and a good friend. He was an elite songwriter at the peak of his life and career. Our sincerest prayers go out to his family. May we all hug each other a little tighter this week and remember that life is fragile. Actor Stephen Dorff, the brother of songwriter Andrew Dorff, discusses his brother's tragic death with Larry King in a new interview. Andrew Dorff’s debut, Hint of Mess, opens with a propulsive number called Supercool, which is precisely what the singer-songwriter (and kid brother of indie film staple Stephen Dorff) aims to be. There are some appealing musical ideas (the folky, hip-hopping swing of Too Far Underground ), but Dorff’s mush-mouthed delivery makes him sound less like an innovative upstart than some boozed-up novelty act. B-. Hint of Mess.

Dorff recorded an album for Sony titled Hint of Mess and toured internationally, then recorded for Lost Highway. After 10 years of touring and recording, that led to his decision to move to Nashville and pursue songwriting full-time. His brother is actor Stephen Dorff.
