The Airing of Grievances is the first studio album by American punk rock band Titus Andronicus, released on the Troubleman Unlimited record label on April 14, 2008. The album combines elements of punk rock, shoegaze, and lo-fi music. It was reissued on January 20, 2009 on XL Recordings. The album title is a reference to "Festivus", a fictional holiday from the episode "The Strike" of Seinfeld. All tracks written by Patrick Stickles.

It’s interesting to compare this album to their 2015 release, The Most Lamentable Tragedy. On this first album the band is much rawer and the recording less polished. This works well for a punk recording. You can tell from the track titles and song lyrics that the band members are not dullards. I quite like intellectual punk-music that makes you think. On the band’s blog they state Titus Andronicus take their name from a minor Shakespearean tragedy, not, as many people.

Don’t let the lo-fi, locker room mix deter you; you’ll find tracks like Arms Against Atrophy and Titus Andronicus are as explosive and bombastic as the band’s namesake (Titus Andronicus is an early Shakespeare work of gory excess), even without recording-studio perfection.
