Atonal (audio/video) "Tonal" is an exercise in the evolution of an artistic idea, from improvised guitar to audio/video collage to photo to clothing. Tonal" is an instrumental album based in treated guitar samples recorded on a Roland RC-50 Loop Station. The loops were then loaded onto computer and MIDI-triggered along with corresponding video clips via iPad (Touch OSC).

In promoting the album Talons made notable appearances at ArcTanGent, Truck Festival, Damnation Festival and Tramlines, as well as support slots with Pianos Become the Teeth and Amenra. The album was recorded in August 2017, again at Greenmount Studios Leeds, but this time with Lee Smith and Jamie Lockhart at the controls. The album is set for release in July 2018 with Holy Roar Records.

Talons are an instrumental band from Hereford, England. An anthology containing all the works by the band, Commemorations, was released in September 2010. In November 2010, Talons released their first album, Hollow Realm. In August 2014, Talons will be releasing their second studio album 'New Topographics'.
