Judith Veronica Mowatt, OD (born 1952) is a Jamaican reggae artist. As well as being a solo artist, as from 1974 she was also a member of the I Three (wrongly spelled "I Threes"), trio of backing vocalists for Bob Marley & The Wailers after Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer left. Mowatt was born in Gordon Town, St. Andrew Parish, Jamaica. At the age of 13, she became a member of a dance troupe which toured Jamaica and other islands in the Caribbean. Her initial ambition was to become a registered nurse
Along with Horace 'Bibi' Seaton and Winston 'Delano' Stewart, Roberts formed the classic Gaylads line-up which is recognised as one of Jamaican pop music's great harmony groups. They thrived during the rocksteady era of the mid and late 1960s, recording a number of hit songs for different producers, including Clement Dodd, Sonia Pottinger and Leslie Kong. This first album was mixed and produced by Dennis Bovell, who also participated with the lyrics as a special guest. In 2015, Dub Natty Sessions was awarded by the Pepsi Music Awards Venezuela for BEST ALBUM (Dub Natty Sessions feat Dennis Bovell) and BEST SONG (Come again). McGregor has also recorded as a drummer with artists such as Sugar Minott and Judy Mowatt. McGregor has also toured extensively for many years. He secured a licensing agreement with RAS Records in US and released Come on Over in 1983.

Judy Mowatt at Gröna Lund, 1977. Background information. Mowatt was associated with Bunny Livingston/Wailer in the early 1970s, and wrote some of the tracks he recorded. At that time, for legal reasons, she used the names Juliann and Jean Watt. Her Black Woman album (Ashandan, 1979) came out the same year as I Three member Marcia Griffiths's album At Studio One. It is considered by many critics to be the greatest reggae album by a female artist
