Having now released their third studio album ‘Sunbathing Animal’ I saw the band playing a recent concert at The Sugarhill Supper Club, NY. The bands distinctive guitar riffs, steady percussion and low gruff vocals filled the venue as the band opened with ‘She’s Rolling’ and then the more upbeat jangly ‘Master of My Craft’ with Austin’s half sung-spoken vocals and pulsing guitar. Yonder Is Closer to the Heart’ is a more upbeat tune with jangly indie guitar melodies and Andrew’s tongue in cheek lyrics. Overall this was a brilliant gig full of vibrancy and energy. It’s exciting to see a new DIY and punk ethos emerging in new acts.
