Sweet Child O’ Mine Lyrics. Sweet Child O' Mine is the 9th track of Guns N’ Roses’ debut album Appetite for Destruction. Sweet Child O' Mine became GNR’s most successful single, topping the Billboard Hot 100. The guitar solo was ranked as the 37th greatest solo of all-time by Guitar World. Amazingly, it was recorded in one take.

Sweet Child o' Mine" is a song by American rock band Guns N' Roses, appearing on their debut album, Appetite for Destruction. Released in August 1988 as the album's third single, the song topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming the band's only number 1 US single. Billboard ranked it the number 5 song of 1988.
