New Fast Automatic Daffodils. Album Body Exit Mind. Patchwork Lives Lyrics. I've watched you get off on I've watched you get off on I've watched you get off on The patchwork lives of readers' wives Between the lines, you spot the lies. It's just a bit of fun It's just a bit of fun - I'm not laughing Avoid advice from readers' wives Don't sympathize with little boys More on Genius
The New Fast Automatic Daffodils (commonly shortened to New FADS) were an alternative rock band which formed in Manchester, England in 1988. The band consisted of Andy Spearpoint (vocals), Dolan Hewson (guitar), Justin Crawford (bass), Icarus Wilson-Wright (percussion) and Perry Saunders (drums). The band's unusual sound included dark and intense elements, influenced perhaps by Joy Division or The Fall, coupled with a funkier, dancey feel reminiscent of the Happy Mondays. The band split in 1995. The band's second album was Body Exit Mind, released in 1993. This included the powerful songs Stockholm and It's Not What You Know, both of which were released as singles. Although both of these singles and the album gained critical success in the UK music press, there was no breakthrough commercial success for the band. A later album,Love It All was released in 1994.

Select another instrument Continue anyway. Though it contains a number of number of minor gems, Body Exit Mind sees New Fast Automatic Daffodils taking a step in the wrong direction. Overlong by at least 15 minutes, due to more than a few extended, bloated tracks, the album lacks much of the fun the band exhibited in Pigeonhole. The song titles don't lie; the band became slightly bitter somewhere after the release of that album. Bruises," "How Much Longer Must We Tolerate Mass Culture," and "What Kind of Hell Is This" detail a world-weary view in their lyrics and music. Guitar squall takes the place.
