Orchestra: Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra. Conductor: Leonard Slatkin. Composer: William Bolcom. Audio CD (December 8, 1992). No such things in the 4th Symphony, premiered on 13 March 1987 by the same forces who have recorded it here only a few days later, and while the style IS eclectic, it avoids the pop quotations and clashes altogether, and the various styles in traverses are blended into a convincing unity, I find.

Release group information. Artist: William Bolcom; Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, Leonard Slatkin, Joan Morris.
