Halo Manash, indeed all of the artists on Aural Hypnox, thrive on a connection to the esoteric and to a sort of spirituality, but the influence is subtle. All of the tracks on Haudattujen Valvoja are live recordings, which seems to give them a more purposeful lean: the performance as ritual. Haudattujen Valvoja creates a union of both. There are two versions of the album: the first is packaged in a lovely silk-screened folder on textured paper with booklet and inserts, which isn’t atypical of Aural Hypnox. There is also a version, limited to 87 copies, that also includes three printed ‘aits’ and an engraved metal plate bearing the mysterious symbol concocted for the cover of the album, enclosed in a cloth bag.
