Mofungo was a New York City based band that was active from 1979-1993. It featured guitarist Elliott Sharp and future food blogger Robert Sietsema. Robert Christgau described their last album as "basically unlistenable unless you grant it your full attention". The New York Times described them as "not your typical rock and roll band". The album, regardless of internal strain, contained "classic" Mofungo tracks that would become staples in the band's live show: "Three," "FBI Informant," and "Migrant Assembly Line Workers. The politically topical (attacks on Robert Bork and the air traffic controllers' strike, for example) Bugged (1988) was their first SST release, followed in 1989 with their final album, Work. Bugged is the third studio album by rock band Babybird released in 2000. It was also the last album the band released on the Echo Records label before being dropped. The band subsequently split but re-united once again in 2006 for their fourth studio album Between My Ears There Is Nothing But Music. The album features the single "The F-Word" which was later used as the theme tune for Gordon Ramsay's television series of the same name. The song "Getaway" was also used in an episode of Trigger Happy TV.
