Horn is Maynard Ferguson's second album on Columbia Records, and the first of his highly successful ". Horn" series of albums. It was also released in Europe as The World of Maynard Ferguson (but with the sides reversed) - not to be confused with the Roulette compilation with the same title. His first record for CBS (The Ballad Style of Maynard Ferguson) was filled with easy listening/pop recordings, but this would be Maynard's first foray into the world of rock music

The New Sounds of Maynard Ferguson/Come Blow Your Horn: The Complete Cameo Recordings. The 2012 anthology The New Sounds of Maynard Ferguson/Come Blow Your Horn: The Complete Cameo Recordings combines both of famed jazz trumpeter Maynard Ferguson's 1964 recordings for the Cameo label. Having just left Roulette after a lengthy contract, Ferguson took his big band to Cameo and recorded the albums combined here. Featuring arrangements by Don Sebesky, the albums showcased Ferguson's swinging and powerful high-note-centric style backed by his always dynamic ensemble.

Maynard Ferguson's "Live At Jimmy's" album is a classic. I've listened to it literally hundreds of times. It's interesting that Maynard took a page out of the Rich book in recording this album live rather than in the studio. I was privileged to see this band live more than once during this period of time, even attended a clinic or two, and this is really the only Ferguson Big Band release that does justice to the band. This is, to my mind, the definitive Maynard Ferguson Big Band release. While Biviano is an added attraction, he pales in significance to The Man himself, and Maynard always fielded an excellent roster of young musicians.
