Jericho is the eighth studio album by Canadian-American rock group the Band. Dirk Bogarde was born Derek Niven Van den Bogaerde in London, England 28th March 1921. He followed his mother's footsteps and began acting professionally in 1940. This career was interrupted by war service, but he returned to it and then became as a very popular star in UK. His big success started from the Doctor series, where he played the young and charming doctor Simon Sparrow. Later on his career Bogarde started to take more serious roles.

SIR DIRK BOGARDE, London, United Kingdom. Dirk Bogarde was a master of his craft. He's one of the most remarkable actors I've ever seen nterpretation of every character he played was spectacular. I never tire of watching him. I enjoy listening to his album, "Lyrics for lovers"(1960) in which he recites the lyrics of famous love song classics. It's absolutely beautiful. The very first film I saw him in was "Hunted" (1952) I've been an absolute fan ever since.

Dirk Bogarde reads his adapted novel, set in Provence. No - not now, not ever. Dec 19, 2017 Helen O'Toole rated it it was ok. I enjoyed his biographies but honestly it was a chore and much speed/ skim reading to even plough through this novel. I have to admit, it's the 1st Dirk Bogarde that I've not enjoyed. The author did the reading and he sounded tired and bored. Oct 30, 2013 Jane Wilson-Howarth rated it liked it. An easy effortless enjoyable read with some absolutely lovely descriptive passages on the Provincal countryside, the birds and whatnot. Blitzkrieglove rated it really liked it Sep 23, 2013.
