Urban Flora is a joint EP from R&B singer Alina Baraz and Danish electronic producer Galimatias released May 19th 2015. The two connected after Alina had found one of Gali’s beats on 8tracks and decided to sing over it and upload it to Soundcloud. That’s when I knew we had to create more. To me, urban flora is like the two of us. Gali has a bunch of hip hop, urban-style production. The whole concept around the album, I based around the idea of a flower. Alina Baraz (born September 24, 1993) is an American singer and songwriter from Cleveland, Ohio. In 2015, Baraz and electronic producer Galimatias released a collaborative EP together titled Urban Flora through Ultra Music after discovering each other's work online. The EP was met with positive reception and streaming success. Since 2016, Baraz has been working to create her debut solo studio album and has released her first solo singles as well as her first solo EP, The Color of You.
