Answer That and Stay Fashionable. Answer That and Stay Fashionable is the debut studio album by American punk rock band AFI. It was originally released on July 4, 1995 through Wingnut Records and rereleased on April 22, 1997 through Nitro Records. Answer That and Stay Fashionable was recorded in Hayward, California at Art of Ears, the studio of Andy Ernst, in 1995.

AFI (abbreviation for A Fire Inside) is an American rock band from Ukiah, California, formed in 1991. The band's lineup stabilized in 1998 with lead vocalist Davey Havok, drummer and backing vocalist Adam Carson, bassist, backing vocalist and keyboardist Hunter Burgan, and guitarist, backing vocalist and keyboardist Jade Puget. Havok and Carson are the sole remaining original members.

Back in the day, when they still had their skate punk sound, AFI created Answer That and Stay Fashionable. Although, the first album I ever heard of theirs was Sing the Sorrow, I can now officially say that this one tops it. Why? Because it is good old-fashioned skate punk. It's not all that creative, nor is it varying, but when you just want hop on your board and go, it gets the job done. Overall Impression - 9 This album only helps to show what a drastic change this band has gone through: from punk to not. I don't really know how to describe them now. Maturity and change is welcome in bands, but it is also nice to hear who they were before that change. I love this album for its hardcore edge and its angsty feel-and on occasion, comic aspect (. Cereal Wars" and "I Wanna Get A Mohawk") which is rather lacking on their later albums. This album should be known for that at least.

The album originally included a hidden track, a cover of The Police's "Man in a Suitcase" (3:13). This track is not present on the 1997 Nitro re-release, with the reason for the exclusion being unknown. Retrieved 2014-03-31. Retrieved 2015-08-20.
