Lucio Battisti biography Lucio BATTISTI (1943 - 1998) was one of Italy's premier songwriters and composers for decades and a formidable influence on his contemporaries in Italy. A reserved, non-conformist artist with strong ideals of artistic freedom, he took part in forming Italy's first independent record label, Numero Uno, in 1969. A better comparison would be Peter GABRIEL/Bryan FERRY as progressive solo artists, but with quite a few Italian twists Lucio BATTISTI (1943 - 1998) was one of Italy's premier songwriters and composers for decades and a formidable influence on his contemporaries in Italy.

Geoff Westley: di Lucio Battisti ricordo la grande bravura. Sono passati venti anni dalla morte di Lucio Battisti, ma le sue canzoni restano nel cuore di tutti quelli che amano la musica e non solo.
