The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld is the debut studio album by English electronic music group The Orb, released as a double album on 2 April 1991 by Big Life. It is a continuous, progressive composition consisting of several tracks advancing the "journey" concept; its framework is of a two-hour psychedelic trip through genres and studio electronics, produced to "push the threshold" of live stage performance, and comprising vocal samples and sound effects interspersed with original music.

Much like the early Orb-related project recorded as Space, Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld simulates a journey through the outer realms - progressing from the soaring ambient-pop of "Little Fluffy Clouds" and the stoned "Back Side of the Moon" (a veiled Pink Floyd reference) to "Into the Fourth Dimension" and ending (after more than two hours) with the glorious live mix. of "A Huge Ever Growing Pulsating Brain

hey, its not that im not being paid for it. i still get recording royalties (although for things like 'occidental' where i wrote 100% of the track, i get 20% of it) for my songs (been getting about 200 quid a year for the last however many years), alex paterson has been stealing the performance royalties for 15 years. thats another type of royalty (supposed to be for the performers of the music, ie the musicians) where he puts himself down as playing 'instruments' on all the tracks, even though he couldnt play an instrument to save his life. cant wait for court when they ask him to prove his guitar playing prowess. lol. what is fucked tho, is they never ask for my permission and they dont have to because they scammed me with some contract. the contract says they can do what they like with my music whenever they like but they have stretched the meaning of it to mean that they can release ANYTHING ive ever done, including FFWD which doesnt belong to them and other stretches - like the album above, which is a live performance they gave to a third party, which ISNT allowed in the contract.its the impunity with which they act that pisses me the fuck off, like e.g. 'terminus' on cydonia, where alex has just lifted 7 minutes of FFWD straight and just slapped a few bbc sound effects over it and called it a new track. im sure it was probably some peoples favourite track on that album, thinking it was completely new. so fucking out of order man :/ they had to remove it from sale now ive discovered it and the album above is going down as well shortly. i snapped several years ago and started to fight back. its bloody hard to legally fight back with no money n that, so ive attempted to take em on myself up till now. now its getting a lot more serious with some proper legal peeps involved so hopefully one day i will have justice and get the money back alex has stolen. who knows as the justice system seems to be a lottery of sorts.
